Chateau Normandy Testimonials
The Chateau is gorgeous with beautiful grounds in a nice location a few minutes from Bayeux, itself a lovely town famous not only for the tapestry (a must see) but with lovely canals (mildly reminiscent of Brugges), a nice city center and cathedral. The Chateau is somewhat formal, but the rooms are spacious and well decorated, and the views of the grounds are wonderful. The common rooms with a sunroom, bar area, billard room etc. were nice. The pool always felt private and was fine. You can take a nice tour of the D-Day beaches (arrange for a private tour, it is worth it). Overall, the Chateau was an excellent base from which to explore Normandy, I strongly recommend it.

Beautifully situated in the countryside, the atmosphere is somewhat formal and elegant, but also quite warm. We ate at the restaurant two nights, and to us, it was truly excellent. We thought our stay a highlight of the trip.
