Overview of Casa Pamelita
Casa Pamelita is a recently built cottage with two bedrooms and two baths with an adjoining living room, on the grounds of a larger Hacienda in the sierra of Ecuador, 8,500 feet above sea level.
Located 90 minutes north of Quito near the equator and the village of San Pablo and surrounded by ancient mountains with evocative names of Cayambe and Imbabura, the hacienda was built in 1604, recently restored and features 25 guest rooms. The profusion of gardens, dappled light and thoughtfully kind staff makes this a destination for experiencing the wonderful and magical life of rural Ecuador.
A large stable of horses allows for many trail rides with breathtaking views. Excursions to villages featuring leather (Cotacachi), weavers (Agato), wood carvers (San Antonio) and hatmakers (Iluman) as well as Otavalo, one of the largest market towns in South America, are easily arranged by reception.
Hiking, the cloud forest, mountain climbing and trout fishing are all available with advance notice to reception.
The dining room with chandeliers by candlelight, log fire and tapestried walls, offers continental and local fare prepared with creativity. Fireplaces abound to check the chill of the star studded evening.

Casa Pamelita Testimonials
What a romantic, delightful place—a paradise hidden away in the Andes Mountains! Casa Pamelita takes its visitors back in time to a Spanish-Colonial hacienda; beautiful antique furnishings, historical art, and lovely gardens invite guests to enjoy the ambient tranquility. My husband and I have traveled all over Latin America, but enchanting Casa Pamelita keeps drawing us back to marvel at its consistent beauty, uniqueness, quality, and comfort. Its staff offers friendly, attentive service; the dining room serves delicious cuisine; and each decorated room/cottage exhibits its own charm and personality. Also, the Casa's location is ideal for exploring the scenic Andean countryside and the nearby towns specializing in local crafts."

Casa Pamelita was a suprise! It's remote, yet accessible. It's intimate (fireplaces in every room) and elegant (dining facilities, bar and living room were beautifully appointed). The staff took special interest in all of their guests and was attentive to all. Vegetation and foliage were spectacular!
